I want to upgrade my memory, only have no idea whats good or bad or what.

So..looking at some stuff from gateway there is DDR and SDRAM, whats the difference with those?

and why would 1GB range from $30 to $120




difference between these terms I would like cleared up

-MHz (high or low)
-Pin
-PC5300/PC2700 etc.

thx in advance for any help
